Positive Behaviour Support
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) focuses on improving a person’s quality of life by understanding the reasons behind behaviours of concern and developing proactive, person-centred strategies. At Unique Traits Community Services, we work collaboratively with participants, families, and support networks to create tailored behaviour support plans that build skills, increase independence, and promote positive outcomes across home and community environments.
Allied Health Assistance
Unique Traits Community Services can provide participants with therapeutic support by an allied health assistant working under the delegation and supervision of a therapist, where the therapist is satisfied that the allied health assistant can work independently without direct supervision at all times.
Support Coordination
Through Support Coordination Levels 1 & 2, we help clients access qualified Support Coordinators to strengthen their ability to design and build supports within complex service systems. The focus is on empowering participants to direct their lives, manage crises, and build resilience within their support networks.
Community Access
Community Access supports participants to engage in social, recreational, educational, and community activities that promote independence, confidence, and inclusion. At Unique Traits Community Services, we provide tailored support to help individuals build social skills, form meaningful connections, and actively participate in their local community in ways that align with their goals and interests.
Self Care Activities
Self-Care Activities support participants with daily personal tasks such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being. At Unique Traits Community Services, we provide respectful, person-centred assistance tailored to each individual’s needs, helping them build confidence and maintain their daily routines safely and comfortably.
Play Therapy
Play-Based Therapy supports children to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through play in a safe and nurturing environment. At Unique Traits Community Services, our therapists use structured and child-led play techniques to build emotional regulation, social skills, confidence, and positive coping strategies in a developmentally appropriate way.
Domestic Assistance
Domestic Assistance supports participants with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment. At Unique Traits Community Services, we provide reliable, person-centred support to help individuals maintain their home, promote independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Training for Carers & Parents
Training for Carers and Parents equips families and support networks with practical skills and strategies to confidently support their loved ones. At Unique Traits Community Services, we provide tailored guidance, education, and hands-on techniques to enhance understanding, strengthen relationships, and promote positive outcomes at home and in the community.
Subcontracting
Subcontracting services allow Unique Traits Community Services to engage qualified and experienced professionals to deliver specialised supports aligned with participants’ needs. We ensure all subcontractors meet required standards, qualifications, and compliance obligations, maintaining high-quality, person-centred service delivery while expanding the range of supports available to our participants.
Aged Care
Aged Care services at Unique Traits Community Services provide compassionate, person-centred support to older individuals, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. We assist with daily living tasks, personal care, community participation, and tailored supports to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and connected within their homes and communities.
Counselling
This funding provides access to personalised one-on-one counselling with a qualified and experienced counsellor. Unique Traits Community Services offers a safe, confidential space for individuals to explore personal challenges and support their mental health and well-being.
Group Therapy
Group Therapy provides a supportive and structured environment where participants can connect with others, share experiences, and build social and emotional skills. At Unique Traits Community Services, our facilitated group sessions promote confidence, communication, peer support, and personal growth in a safe and inclusive setting.
